Founded in 2021 by three powerlifting enthusiasts, PLK Bjelowbar quickly grew into a thriving sports club with over 30 active members and the county’s only dedicated powerlifting gym. The club unites athletes who achieve impressive results at both national and international competitions.
Club members have set numerous national records, won national champion titles, and competed in international championships. In addition to its competitive activities, the club works closely with the local community, engaging in educational and promotional sports activities.

The club’s main annual event is Bjelovar Record Breakers, a powerlifting competition that brings together competitors from Croatia and beyond, attracting a large number of visitors and powerlifting enthusiasts. The competition is covered on social media and Sportska televizija. Over three days of competition, more than 200 competitors and 500 visitors are expected to attend.
